Remember. Honor. Teach.

🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Mrs. Ida Boston from OCIA joined the American Legion Post 243 to place wreaths on the graves of veterans in the Boston Cemetery.

Wreaths Across America began in 1992 when Worcester Wreath made a donation of surplus wreaths to the veterans in the Arlington National Cemetery.

This tradition continued until 2007 when Congress voted to make the second or third Saturday in December "Wreaths Across America Day." By 2022, 2.7 million wreaths were placed on the graves of veterans around the county.

"Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Our volunteers are the beating heart of the program and work year-round to share this important mission and inspire others to join." -Wreaths Across America Mission Statement
